Dr Brooke Show #288 What To Do When You Can’t Recover From Your Workouts

October 6, 2022

There are many reasons why you aren’t able to recover between workouts and lacking the steam to keep at it with any consistency. I cover several of them in this episode including lifestyle habits that are absolutely key (although perhaps boring) to recovery including sleep, hydration as well as how oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial health and several hormones will impact your ability to repair, reset and get ready to workout again. I also cover the difference between latent and immediate recovery and how lack of one vs. the other indicates different issues. And of course I give you some suggestions for things that help all of us recover better such as cold exposure.
