Sarah & Dr Brooke Show #196 Emerging from Grief with Christina Rasmussen

October 21, 2020

Having studied bereavement and even doing her master’s thesis in it, Christina Rassmussen thought she knew grief. Then the tragic loss of a child and then her husband to cancer and being left with the loss of a future and a young family to tend to, she found herself not finding answers or help from traditional therapy so she returned to her studies and found a new way.

She describes grief as a gap you can get lost in, between your past with someone and your future without them.

The way she speaks of the experience of loss is like no one else, blending personal experience, neuroscience and hope. If you’ve lost someone or know someone who has, this episode will open your eyes to healing and a whole new way of processing grief.

Christina is working on her third book but you can learn more about her other books: Second Firsts and Where Did You Go as well as her Life Reentry Institute and her podcast, The Dear Life Podcast on her site ChristinaRasmussen.com.
