Better Everyday #59 How To Make Your Family Healthier When They Don’t Want To Be, Problems With High Testosterone & PCOS and How To Choose Supplements
First, thank you all so much for your support after last week’s tell all episode – we love you guys! In this episode we’re answering your questions which are always so good!
We tackled a very big problem: what to do when you want to eat healthier and you want your family to eat healthier but they aren’t interested OR you and your partner are not on the same page when it comes to feeding your kids.
This can be so hard and it takes time to get everyone on the same page but we offer several tools for tackling this problem that’s so worth solving. What’s more important than your health and the health of your family?!?
We also cover the benefits of testosterone as well as the downside to too much, particularly for women with PCOS who suffer with hypersensitivity to androgens as well as androgen excess. Testosterone certainly has benefits for healing, libido and strength but it’s also a great example of getting too much of a good thing. Finally give some great tips for choosing effective nutritional supplements, our favorite brands and why you shouldn’t be taking the same supplement regimen for an extended period of time.

Androgens & PCOS
As part of my upcoming PCOS program I will be diving deep into this issue: where these hormones come from, why they cause so much havoc for women with PCOS when it comes to faulty ovulation, acne, hair growth on the face and body at the same time as hair loss on the head as well as what you can do about it.
I was so happy to answer this question on today’s episode because it’s confusing right? Testosterone is a good thing – or is it a bad thing? Like most things and most hormones it’s good in the right amount – and I’d ad it’s good when it has healthy metabolism.
So many imbalances occur with PCOS among them are hypersensitivity to any circulating androgens like DHEA, testosterone and testosterone metabolites. Our sebaceous glands respond differently and more exaggerated to these hormones so we get acne and all these other hairy problems 🙂
Do you have PCOS or androgen imbalances? Get on the wait list for my PCOS program coming in September. The wait list offers extra free goodies, more time with me and early access to the program not to mention free education on stuff like acne and hair loss over the next several weeks.
