Dr Brooke Show #272 A Little Bit Better: The Stress of Feeling Misunderstood

July 20, 2022

I don’t know about you but feeling unseen or misunderstood is very hard for me. In this episode of #ALittleBitBetter I share a current experience where I’m navigating this super uncomfortable space of feeling like someone just doesn’t “get you” or worse, sees you in a light you know not to be true.

I talk about how I’ve experienced this in the past and how I’m handling it totally differently now and give you several tools to do better with this tricky situation including the right and wrong assumptions to make about where someone else is coming from, the power of focusing on how you show up and what you can do to meet your own emotional needs when someone isn’t able to have the hard conversation with you.
