Dr Brooke Show #295 Do You Really Need To Take Vitamin D?

December 12, 2022

Recently a study – and subsequent headlines – came out saying that we should no longer be testing vitamin D levels or supplementing with vitamin D. In this episode I talk about what they evaluated in this particular study and the conclusions we can and can’t draw about vitamin D supplementation for conditions like osteoporosis, autoimmunity and other chronic conditions. As well when we need to think past a lab value for vitamin D to see what may be driving the level low and supplementation may not be the thing – or at least not the only thing – to do.
